Aquatic Plants, Pond Plants, Locally Grown, Minneapolis St. Paul MN, Native
Type: Marginal pond plant
Flower: Bright red flowers atop tall redish stems. Foliage also slightly red. Repeat bloomer.
Height: Grows ~36″ tall.
Light: Full sun preferred.
Zone: 3-8
Water depth at planting: Best if root zone is 2-4″ deep in water with crown of plant and some roots remain above the water line. This makes a great water garden plant for your pond’s shallow areas or planted near the water garden’s edge to add height and colorful foliage. Also makes a long lasting cut flower.
