Rebuilt backyard trap rock waterfall with multiple cascades after a 14-foot stream reconstruction in Arden Hills, Minnesota.
Restoring an Aging Stream
This project in Arden Hills, MN involved the complete reconstruction of an existing 14-foot backyard stream. While the original waterfall had served the property for years, the stream needed to be rebuilt to improve water flow, appearance, and long-term performance.

Rebuilding with Existing Natural Stone
Rather than replacing the original materials, we carefully reused the trap rock already on site. Each boulder was repositioned to create smoother cascades, more natural transitions, and a stream that looks as though it has always belonged in the surrounding woodland landscape.
Despite the complexity of working with large natural stone, the entire reconstruction was completed in just one day.

A Water Feature That Adds Value
Located on a beautiful lakeside property, the finished waterfall blends naturally into its surroundings and became one of our favorite projects of the 2025 season. The renovation was completed as part of the homeowner’s preparation to sell the property, helping enhance curb appeal and showcase the landscape with a striking natural water feature.
