A Complete Backyard Fish Pond

This 11′ × 16′ fish pond with an island was built in Northfield, Minnesota in 2023 as the centerpiece of a complete backyard transformation. The natural waterfall, carefully placed stone, and planted island create a peaceful focal point that can be enjoyed throughout the outdoor living space.

Designed for Healthy Fish and Clear Water

The pond includes a fish cave that provides a protected hiding area for fish, along with BioFalls filtration to support clear, healthy water. The natural waterfall adds movement, oxygenation, and the relaxing sound of flowing water.

More Than Just a Pond

Alongside the pond, we constructed a limestone retaining wall, patio area, and fire ring, bringing the entire backyard together. The finished landscape combines water, natural stone, and comfortable gathering spaces into one cohesive outdoor retreat.
